The long hall

Having mastered the walk across my bedroom floor, I set my sights on grander achievements and took the hallway by storm!

Mirror, mirror on the wall

I may only be a one-year-old girl, but I already enjoy spending time in front of the bathroom mirror!

My daddy went to Utah...

...and all I got was this fashionable hat.

Yeah, right! My dada? I got a matching scarf, two fuzzy sweaters, a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and the NYT bestseller "Do Teddy Bears Ski?"

Okay, maybe it's not a NYT bestseller, but it's riveting nonetheless.

At any rate, I got all of this when my dada was gone for only three days! I'm hoping next time they send him away for a week...then maybe I'll get a pony!

Walk This Way

As many of my friends and acquaintences have decided that crawling is for babies, I've concluded that there's no real reason to pass on a sure thing. I'm good at crawling. It's what I do. So when Mama tries to stand me up and help me walk, I give her a firm "no thanks" by letting my legs go limp and whining a little bit.

But I'll tell you what -- Mama is persistent! So today I decided to save myself from the hassles and just walk a little bit...if only to appease my mom's need to "keep up with baby Joneses." At any rate, it made for a good video. Enjoy!

Let me explain...No, there is too much. Let me sum up.

After a month-long hiatus from the blog, I am back in action with much to tell you about what I've been doing. Turns out that turning one was much more of a time commitment than I had anticipated, thus keeping me away from my time on the computer.

Because it would take way too long to tell you of my many adventures, here are just a few highlights:

I tried ice cream for the first time!

I had a playdate with my pal!

I ventured out into the cold!

I turned one!

I learned how much I like to drive cars at Chuck E. Cheese.

I had my first 1st birthday party!

I had my second 1st birthday party!

After hearing about chocolate doughnuts for practically my entire life, Poppy finally gave me one!

...and after a month of chocolate doughnuts, cake and ice cream, I learned the importance of oral hygiene. Don't tell anyone that I don't floss!
